Buttweld Eccentric Reducer: Dimensions, Sizes, and Prices
When it comes to efficient piping systems, Buttweld Eccentric Reducer play a pivotal role in seamlessly reducing pipe sizes while ensuring optimal flow rates. At Fortune Fittings Pvt. Ltd., we’re dedicated to providing top-notch Buttweld Eccentric Reducer crafted to meet the diverse needs of industrial applications.
Our Buttweld Eccentric Reducers are meticulously manufactured to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and quality. Crafted from premium materials like copper and stainless steel, our reducers offer exceptional corrosion resistance, strength, and compatibility with various fluids, guaranteeing reliable performance in demanding environments.
Eccentric Reducers are specifically designed to connect pipes of different sizes that aren’t in a straight line. Unlike concentric reducers, the reduction in diameter is achieved in a way that the centerline of the two pipes isn’t aligned. This unique design makes them ideal for horizontal piping systems, where a sudden reduction in diameter is necessary to prevent fluid accumulation.
The dimensions of our ASME B16.9 Buttweld Eccentric Reducers are meticulously calculated to ensure a precise fit and maintain optimal flow rates in the piping system. Available in various size ranges, including 2 X 1, 3 X 2, 4 X 3, 6 X 4, and more, our ready inventory ensures quick availability to meet your project requirements.
At Fortune Fittings Pvt. Ltd., we understand the importance of accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in piping systems. With our Buttweld Eccentric Reducers, you can trust in seamless performance and hassle-free installation, allowing you to focus on your project’s success.
What is a Buttweld Eccentric Reducer?
A Buttweld Eccentric Reducer is a type of pipe fitting used in piping systems to connect pipes of different diameters that are not in a straight line. Unlike concentric reducers, where the reduction in diameter occurs uniformly along the centerline, eccentric reducers feature an off-center design. This results in one side of the reducer having a larger diameter than the other, creating a gradual or sudden reduction in pipe size.

Materials Used in Buttweld Eccentric Reducer
Buttweld Eccentric Reducers are manufactured using a variety of materials carefully selected based on their mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and suitability for specific applications. Some common materials used in the construction of Buttweld Eccentric Reducers include:
1. Stainless Steel: Known for its excellent corrosion resistance and durability, stainless steel is a popular choice for Buttweld Eccentric Reducers, especially in applications where hygiene and cleanliness are critical, such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and chemical industries.
2. Carbon Steel: Carbon steel is valued for its high strength, affordability, and versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. Buttweld Eccentric Reducers made from carbon steel are commonly used in oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation industries.
3. Alloy Steel: Alloy steel contains additional alloying elements such as chromium, molybdenum, or nickel, which enhance its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Buttweld Eccentric Reducers fabricated from alloy steel are preferred for applications requiring high temperature and pressure resistance, such as aerospace, automotive, and marine industries.
4. Duplex Stainless Steel: Duplex stainless steel offers a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for demanding environments such as offshore oil and gas platforms, marine applications, and chemical processing plants.
5. Nickel Alloys: Nickel alloys exhibit exceptional corrosion resistance and thermal stability, making them suitable for extreme temperature and corrosive environments. Buttweld Eccentric Reducers made from nickel alloys are commonly used in chemical processing, aerospace, and marine industries.
The choice of material for Buttweld Eccentric Reducers depends on factors such as the operating environment, temperature, pressure, and the nature of the fluid or gas being conveyed. Manufacturers select materials based on these considerations to ensure optimal performance, longevity, and compatibility with specific applications.
Applications of Buttweld Eccentric Reducer
Buttweld Eccentric Reducers find wide-ranging applications across various industries where precise flow control and efficient piping systems are essential. Some common applications include:
1. Chemical Processing: Eccentric reducers are utilized in chemical plants for directing the flow of corrosive chemicals, acids, and solvents between different processing units, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
2. Petrochemical Industry: In petrochemical refineries and processing plants, eccentric reducers are employed to connect pipes of different sizes, facilitating the transfer of crude oil, refined petroleum products, and gases with varying pressure and temperature requirements.
3. Oil and Gas Sector: Eccentric reducers play a crucial role in oil and gas pipelines for managing fluid flow and pressure, particularly during the transportation of crude oil, natural gas, and other hydrocarbons over long distances.
4. Water Treatment Facilities: These reducers are used in water treatment plants to regulate the flow of treated water, chemicals, and wastewater between different treatment processes, ensuring optimal purification and filtration.
5. HVAC Systems: Eccentric reducers are integrated into heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to control the flow of air, refrigerants, and other fluids between different components, optimizing temperature regulation and energy efficiency.
6. Power Generation: In power plants, eccentric reducers are employed in piping systems to manage the flow of water, steam, and other fluids in boilers, turbines, and cooling systems, ensuring reliable and efficient power generation.
7. Marine Applications: Eccentric reducers are used in shipbuilding and marine industries for piping systems aboard vessels, facilitating the flow of seawater, fuel, and other fluids essential for propulsion, cooling, and other onboard systems.
8. Food and Beverage Processing: These reducers are applied in food processing plants for directing the flow of liquids, sauces, and ingredients between different processing units, ensuring hygienic and efficient food production.
By offering precise flow transition and efficient fluid transportation, Buttweld Eccentric Reducers contribute to the seamless operation of piping systems in various industrial sectors, enhancing productivity, reliability, and safety.

- Dimensions are in millimeters unless otherwise indicated.
- Wall thickness (t) must be specified by customer.
- The shape shall be ellipsoidal and shall conform to the requirements given in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
- Length (H) applies for thickness not exceeding that given in column “Wall Thickness” for Length, H.
- Length (H1) applies for thickness greater than that given in column “Wall Thickness” for NPS 24 and smaller. For NPS 26 and larger, length H1 shall be by agreement between the manufacturerand purchaser.

Buttweld Fitting Weights
ASME buttweld fitting specifications do not specify weights for fittings. Weights quoted in the table on this page are based on manufacturers information and should be considered as approximate and provided as a guide only (fitting weights can vary considerably between manufacturers due to differences in construction). Weights in these tables are taken from Hackney Ladish, Inc. Hackney Ladish, Inc. is one of the largest and most versatile fitting producers in the world. Hackney Ladish, Inc. is headquartered in Dallas, TX and operates 2 facilities containing 380,000 square feet of manufacturing.Dimensions Lap Joint Stub Ends schedule STD XS ASME B16.9

- Type A for Lap Joint Flanges
- Type B for Slip On Flanges
- MSS SP-43 only covers stainless steel buttweld fittings made for use with Schedule 5S and 10S pipe and Stub Ends suitable for use with Schedule 40S pipe, as defined in ASME B36.19. The dimensions and dimensional tolerances defined in MSS SP-43 are substantially the same as those in ASME B16.9 specifications from NPS 1/2 – NPS 24. Except with regard to the outside diameter at the bevel.
