About the 5d bend
A 5D pipe bend has a centreline radius of 5× nominal diameter: the standard minimum for pig-launchers, hot-tap connections, and pipelines that are regularly inspected with internal PIGs or caliper pigs.

Covers the full range of industrial butt weld fittings (elbows, tees, reducers, caps, returns) in carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel from ½" to 48" NB.
- Applies to NPS ½" through 48" (DN 15 through DN 1200)
- Schedule wall: STD / XS / XXS plus full SCH range
- Radius: Long Radius (LR) 1.5D and Short Radius (SR) 1.0D elbows
- Dimensional tables are the only source of 'legal' wall thickness
- No pressure-temperature rating: use ASME B31.3 / B31.1 with pipe schedule
